UEFA Women's A European Champions Norway to face Republic of Ireland at La Manga Club

UEFA Women's A 2013 European Champions and FIFA Women's World Cup Finalists Norway (FIFA Rank 9) will play Republic of Ireland (FIFA Rank 29) in a Women's friendly A International on January 15th at La Manga Club, Murcia organised by Milenio Sports Management.

Norway are preparing for next summers 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada with friendly games against Sweden and Republic of Ireland in Murcia and this combined with a series of games at the Algarve cup will give them ideal winter contact time and high level matches in preparation for Canada next summer.

Republic of Ireland meanwhile are coming off the back of an impressive FIFA Women's World Cup qualification game having come close to making the play offs with wins over Croatia, Slovenia and Slovakia as well as an impressive 0-0 draw away to Russia.If selected the squad will feature FIFA Puskas Goal of the year 2014 contender Stephanie Roche who has made world headlines in recent months since her nomination.

This will be Republic of Ireland's Women's A's second visit to La Manga Club in as many years following a successful training camp in January 2014 also organised by Milenio Sports Management.
