Republic of Ireland to play Oman in a friendly A International on September 3rd in Dublin

Republic of Ireland will play Oman in a friendly A International at Aviva Stadium Dublin on September 3, 2014.

The Oman fixture will provide Republic of Ireland Coach Martin O'Neill with a further opportunity to run the rule over his squad as they set out on their EURO 2016 qualification campaign.Republic of Ireland  Ireland travel to Georgia to begin that campaign on September 7.

Republic of Ireland previously met Oman in a friendly at Craven Cottage in September 2012. The Irish won that game 4-1 with goals from Robbie Brady, Alex Pearce, Shane Long and Kevin Doyle.

Oman are coached by former Rangers FC and PSG manager Paul Le Guen and captained by Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.
